SPENDLE / DOCUMENTATION / GETTING STARTED

Your first steps with Spendle.

Get connected to your organization, then bring your expenses and requests into one place.

Before you start

You need an active organization account, access to its Spendle environment and the role assigned by your administrator. Your organization decides its expense policies and approval rules. If you do not yet have access, ask your administrator rather than creating an unrelated account.

Connect on iOS or Android

  1. Install Spendle through the app distribution link or installation method provided by your organization or MTD.
  2. Obtain the company’s signed provisioning QR code from the authenticated provisioning web page or your administrator.
  3. Open Spendle’s provisioning flow and scan the code. Allow camera access when prompted. Verify that the organization shown is yours.
  4. Sign in with the organization’s configured identity provider. The QR supplies the backend and identity configuration needed by your app.
  5. Check that your profile and workspace match your organization before submitting a record.

Open the web workspace

Use the workspace URL supplied by your administrator and sign in through the company identity provider. The public marketing site at spendle.mtdtechnology.net is separate from your authenticated workspace. Available screens and actions depend on your role.

Create and submit a report

  1. Open the reports area and create a report or continue the draft generated from an approved request, where that workflow applies.
  2. Enter the business details, relevant dates, amounts and currencies requested by your organization.
  3. Add expense items and upload receipts or other supporting documents. Review legibility and avoid unrelated personal data.
  4. Check the total and required information, then submit for review.
  5. Follow the record’s status. If modifications are requested, read the reviewer’s reason, correct the relevant details and resubmit.

Submit a request before spending

Choose the request type applicable to your need, such as business travel, internal travel or a special request. Provide the proposed details and submit them for review. An approved request may create a draft report for the next stage of the workflow. Approval does not itself make a payment or book travel.

If something does not work

Check your network connection, device permissions and account access. Do not scan provisioning codes from untrusted sources. If you are connected to the wrong organization, stop submitting data and ask your administrator to help you reconnect.
